Reflecting

Today was a nice day to spend with Nathan. We spent lots of time together playing on the floor with his blocks. I can't believe how much fun it is to spend time with him and see him grow. God has definitely blessed me with a child who loves to play games and interact with those around him. Here are a few funny pictures of him trying to get my attention to play blocks with him.

On the baby front, I find that I am becoming ever more anxious to have this baby out of me. It is getting painful to walk and do my everyday activities. (Andy said he can't wait until he doesn't have to share my body with the baby anymore. I have to agree with him.) I think that maybe the Lord is just trying to teach me to trust Him more as I wait. He knows when our son will make an appearance and then I will have to learn even more patience as I work with a newborn and a toddler. In any event, I am ready for this stage of the game to be over and I know for certain that I will have to give birth by March 2nd as I will be 2 weeks past my due date at that point. Please pray I don't have to wait that long!

Nathan's 1st Haircut

We finally did it! We took the plunge and got Nathan's haircut at the local barber shop in Sumner: Doug and Kathy's Barber shop. He did really well. He first got to watch Grandpa Enslow and Dad get their haircut. Then, he sat on Dad's lap and very patiently got his haircut. During the whole thing he kept handing us locks of hair as they fell onto his lap. I tucked a few pieces away for a keepsake.

Nathan was carefully checking out his grandpa and dad to make sure the haircut was being done right.

"I think I'm ready for this. Now don't cut off too much."

"Yes, I am the most handsome little man I know of!"

Christmas Part 2 & 3

We had Christmas on December 27 with Andy's dad and his family. We had lots of fun, and Nathan was even more spoiled with a Tinker Toy Set, John Deere Tractor farm yard and colorful wood blocks.

On January 3rd, Andy's mom and step dad came over for a late Christmas/Birthday celebration for Roxanne. Nathan had lots of fun spending time with Grandma Rox and Grandpa Bud.
